CMT Field Technician

*CMT Field Technician* *Key Responsibilities* - Perform field sampling and testing of soil, base, aggregate, Portland cement concrete, asphaltic concrete, and masonry in accordance with established procedures and the standard methods established by AASHTO, ASTM or other agency with calibrated testing equipment.
- Prepare and submit accurate, legible, comprehensive, and complete testing reports on a daily basis in accordance with established quality procedures.
- Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of testing data.
- Review testing records performed by other construction engineering technicians to assure compliance with requirements of established procedures.
- Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration in accordance with established quality management procedures.
- Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work.
Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
*Basic/Required Qualifications* - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience are not required but preferred.
- Certification in the following areas is not required but preferred ACI Concrete Field Grade 1.
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer tickets in the past 3 years.
- Reliability – must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled times.
- Ability to prepare reports and documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required - Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy.
*Physical Demands* - Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to work may be required - Ability to lift 40 lbs.

- Able to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
