Techline Construction is seeking a Groundman in Austin, Texas and the surrounding area.
Home weekends - Weekly Per Diem - Paid Weekly
Responsibilities include:
Perform various manual tasks in the construction and maintenance of overhead power lines
Assemble materials on the ground
Assist other crew members in filling pole holes and trench using a shovel
Flag traffic and set up job sites as directed
Maintain organization of tools and materials on work vehicles
Clean up and organize job sites at completion of work
When aptitude is demonstrated and work allows, Groundman will receive training in the operation of some trucks, light equipment, and tools.
Skills and abilities:
Able to adapt to seasonal temperature changes and inclement weather.
Able to meet physical requirements.
Actions include but are not limited to, standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, cutting wire, lifting and maneuvering 90 pounds, and more.
Requirements:
Must have a valid Class A CDL within 3 months of employment
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
Adhere to company safety and health policies - will receive safety training
