Buzzi Unicem USA, a major US cement manufacturer, is looking for a Production Manager to join our expanding team at our Maryneal, TX plant.
This position's prime objective is to direct the continuous operation of the facility.
Adherence to production schedules, budgets, quality requirements and providing a safe working environment are part of this individual's responsibility.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directs the activities of the manufacturing departments to effectively maximize production within the limits of established quality and cost standards.
Issues instructions/directions to the operations departments covering performance, manpower requirements, scheduling and quality standards.
Ensures the efficient utilization of equipment and facilities.
Investigates and reports on accidents involving employees and equiment.
Promotes and enforces safe working practices and good housekeeping.
Performs analysis and prepares special reports as assigned by Plant Manager.
Administers training for production personnel.
Maintains current knowledge of collective bargaining agreement and related plant policies.
Seeks opportunities to promote and instill an attitude of cost and profit consciousness among all employees.
Continue self improvement activities especially in the area of production for mining and cement making operations.
Compiles the annual budget for the operation department.
Monitors expenditures against approved budget plans.
Qualifications:
Four year degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
5+ years in an industrial environment
Must have cement experience, preferably in a similiar role
Proficiencies in chemistry and plant operations
Candidate should have a strong technical background with excellent interpersonal skills
