Estimator

*Position Summary:* The Estimator prepares and provides accurate estimates for railcars by information gathered by the Car Inspector during his/her walk around inspection.
This information along with photos is reviewed and data inputted into a Railcar RX database.
Once data entered, the estimate is sent via email or customer data base and an approval is requested.
*Responsibilities:* * · Understand Customer, AAR/FRA Requirements for estimating.
* · Create and submit estimates * · Perform follow ups on approvals * · Create work orders for shop * · Build relationships with customer * · Scan NDT forms and submit to customer * · Prepare estimates for invoicing *Requirements:* * · Familiarity with financial and project management principles * · In depth knowledge of the AAR Field Manual & M1002 Section C-III Specs For Tank Cars * · IT and Math ability with an analytical mindset * · Proficient in relevant software *Qualities:* * · Communication and negotiation abilities * · Thoroughness and reliability * · Excellent organizational skills *Experience and Education:* * · High School Diploma or GED * · 3-5 years’ experience as an estimator or similar position Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.
