As a granite countertop install helper, your job description would typically involve supporting the lead installer and the installation team throughout the process.
Here’s an overview of the responsibilities:

Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials and tools required for the installation, such as granite slabs, adhesive, sealants, and necessary equipment.
2.
Loading and Unloading: Help in loading and unloading granite slabs and other installation materials from trucks or delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling and transport.
3.
Site Preparation: Assist in preparing the installation site by clearing the area, protecting surfaces, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
4.
Installation Assistance: Support the lead installer in the actual installation process, which may involve lifting and positioning granite slabs, holding them in place during installation, and passing tools or materials as needed.
5.
Cutting and Shaping: Aid in cutting and shaping granite under the direction of the lead installer, using appropriate tools and equipment.
6.
Clean-Up: Help in cleaning and tidying up the installation area after completing the installation, ensuring the removal of debris, dust, and any leftover materials.
7.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and organizing tools and equipment used for the installation, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored.
8.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe lifting and handling practices.
9.
Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with the lead installer and other team members, cooperating and collaborating to ensure efficient workflow and completion of tasks.

This position involves carrying and handling pieces of stone that will weigh anywhere from 10lbs to 200lbs.
These loads will be split with another person and we have equipment to help transport these loads, but just an important note to know about this position.
