Community Manager
Location: Newport Village, 3525 Rolling Green Dr, Abilene, TX, 79606
Job Summary:
The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the community, including managing staff, maintaining the property, and ensuring resident satisfaction.
The Community Manager will also be responsible for marketing and leasing apartments, as well as maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise all community staff, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff
Ensure that the property is well-maintained and that all maintenance requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner
Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain current residents
Respond to resident inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Ensure that all leasing paperwork and procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and local laws
Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and the local community
Prepare and manage the community budget, including rent collection and expense control
Ensure that all safety and security procedures are followed, including emergency response plans
Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in multi-family housing
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software
Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations related to property management
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Physical Demands:
The Community Manager must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
The Community Manager must also be able to climb stairs and ladders, and be able to work in all weather conditions.
Work Environment:
The Community Manager will work in an office setting as well as outdoors on the property.
The Community Manager may be exposed to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
