Labrador / German Shepherd - Small Rehoming Fee (Winters)

We have a Labrador / German Mix (3/4 lab and 1/4 German Shepherd) that we desperately need to rehome him.
We rescued him as a puppy from a very bad situation, covered in so many fleas.
We had to take him to a groomer to do an intensive flea treatment.
We also had to take him to the vet for a parasite infection.
We were told he was a Jack Russell, and since he was so small from the infestations, he thought he was a Jack Russell.
We already had two terriers and we thought he would make a great addition.
Regardless of his breed, we were determined to nurse him back to health and keep him.
He is now a year and a half old.
My Dad passed away in October and he is simply too much for my Mom to handle as he is too big for her alone.
Buddy is very smart, he will sit, he will shake with both paws.
He will go outside when told.
He LOVES cuddles and scratches, he LOVES treats! He is an amazing guard dog! He does bark at strangers, but backs away while doing it.
Once he knows someone though, he is extremely friendly.
He never growls or barks in a threatening manner.
He also barks to welcome you home.
He "TALKS" to you.
It is urgent that we are able to rehone him due to my Mom's safety and health.
We are asking only a small rehoming fee just to make sure he goes to a good home.
