Up for your consideration is an older Harmony Bass guitar.
I have no idea how old it is.
It's been sitting around the house for at least 10 years (was left at my house many years ago when my kids were active in a series of garage bands, someone left it at the house and never claimed it).
Didn't originally have a case, but I came across a funky case with fake alligator skin vinyl covering which I'll throw in as part of the sale, just to keep the bass protected.
It originally didn't work at all electronically and it was missing the rear cover over the pots, but I've re-soldered the connections and it works now.
It seems to be a copy of a Fender Precision Bass Special (or P-Bass Special).
I created a cover for the rear control cavity, by cutting some plastic to fit it as best as I could.
Not the prettiest, but at least it's covered now.
I think it would benefit from a pickup upgrade (these work, but I am not impressed by the quality or the output).
It's actually a pretty solid bass.
The action is nice and I have the action set pretty low.
There's a little fret buzz on the G string but only around the 18th to 20th frets or so.
Otherwise it seems pretty stable.
I did not want to spend a lot of time tweaking the action, since I'm selling it.
You can adjust to your climate and preferences.
It has a pretty cool bridge, with grooves so the saddles won't drift.
All in all, a decent beginning bass or a good bass to customize, experiment with, etc.
Keep your nice bass at home and let this one absorb the road wear! The tuners seem to hold well and though it's considered a second-rate or budget instrument, in the right hands it'll be just fine and serve as a reliable work horse that you shouldn't have to worry much about since you won't have a lot invested in it.
Since it's so old and I can't warranty it, I'm selling as-is with no returns.
I am asking $75 to try and get back the value of the time and effort I spent in getting it playable.
Heck, the case has gotta be worth at least half of that! LOL Key words (to get people to look at this): Fender Precision Bass, Jazz, Special, Stratocaster, Les Paul, SG, Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, Classic Player, Special, Custom, Vintage, Beginner
