The Accountant III will perform complex clerical, bookkeeping, and accounting assignments and prepare accounting statements and financial reports.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting is generally preferred.
3-5 years of related experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
Prepares financial reports and various accounting statements.
Posts journal entries to general ledger.
Generates summary sheets to be used by supervisor or auditor.
Overseeing reimbursement processes.
Manages monthly quality assurance audits.
Proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy.
Allocates expenditures to correct accounts according to departmental procedures.
Confirms accuracy and oversees filing of monthly, quarterly and annual reports with State and other funding agencies.
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Texas Driver’s License required and reliable transportation.
Must not have more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
Must be insurable and remain insurable on Center’s insurance.
Must be able to pass a background check.
