*Job purpose*
A rapidly growing international electronic signage illumination company is looking for an innovative, experienced leader who can design and implement an efficient warehouse layout and operations plan and continuously improve upon efficiency.
The VP/Director of Warehouse Operations will manage and oversee employees and processes across multiple warehouse locations for receiving, shipping, storing, and execution of activities according to the customers specifications across our international organization.
*Duties and responsibilities*
* Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
* Recruits, selects, orients, coaches, and motivates employees.
* Manages stock controls and reconciles with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
* Liaises with clients, suppliers, and transport companies
* Achieves warehouse operational objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures, resolving problems, completing audits and identifying trends
* Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting staff and procedural requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions
* Develops international warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and efficient storage layout requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping
* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
* Produces reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status reports, obsolete inventory reports, etc)
*Qualifications*
* 3-5 years of management experience in transportation, freight forwarding and/or logistics is required
* Experience in designing efficient warehouse systems
* Experience with high level of SKUs
* Deadline-oriented with ability to track multiple facets of freight operations worldwide at any given time
* Experience in cycle counting/order checking
* Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators
* Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
* Solutions oriented and ability to motivate staff
* Excellent communication skills
* MS Word and Excel experience required
*Working Conditions*
The normal working environment is fast-paced, time pressured and requires accuracy.
The environment is of a Warehouse with shipping and receiving environment.
*Physical requirements*
This position requires the ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or more.
The position also requires frequent, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, or reaching with hands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.
00 - $125,000.
