Immediate Supervisor: Program Director/Site Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The meal delivery person/laborer is responsible to the Project Director and occasionally to the Site Manager, for delivering meals in a safe and timely manner.
Performs other duties in keeping the interior of the building clean and the exterior of building and grounds neat and attractive.

EXAMPLES OF SPECIFIC WORK PERFORMED:
1) Work in any area of the kitchen and in office as an aide when needed; 2) Package food for delivery; 3) Loads food into vehicle; 4) Delivers home delivery meals to eligible participants; 5) Cleans and mops floors of building and other routine maintenance necessary in keeping building clean; 6) Cleans vehicle as needed; 7) Assists other employees when needed; 8) Clean restrooms and outside building; 9) Stocks condiments, tea, and coffee area; 10) Clean all tables daily; 11) Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Ability to sit, stand and drive a vehicle to and from various worksites.
Employee will be exposed to seasonal temperatures while performing maintenance duties and be exposed to potentially hazardous mechanical and chemical hazards.
Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to bend, stoop, walk, push brooms, sweep, and mop.
Ability to walk over uneven, sloped & uneven terrain.
Work involves getting dirty and wet.
Employee will be exposed to dirt, dust, noises, fumes, and odors.
Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with the public.
Ability to understand verbal and written communication.
Indoor and outdoor work, both pleasant and unpleasant.
Requires light to heavy physical activity in lifting caddies of food into vehicle and performing building and grounds maintenance.
Required to go into Senior Citizen’s homes and may be exposed to unsanitary conditions and various pets.

Daily contact with employees; daily contact with the public.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have enough education to read and write effectively for this position; must be able to comprehend and speak the English language; a high school diploma or G.

is a plus but is not required; prefer previous experience in operation of vehicle and must have a good driving record.
Must be able to perform simple math.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of geographical location of streets within city and outlying area; ability to read city map; skill in operating a vehicle in a safe, timely manner; must have a good driving record and be in good health, with the ability to perform heavy work; must possess the ability to meet and get along with the elderly.
Must have basic knowledge of how to work an iPad.
Must have the ability to read, write and follow directions.
REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES:
Valid Class C Texas Driver License; CPR Certificate.
Must acquire Food Safety Certificate within 3 months of hire.
