Job Title: District PEIMS Registrar
Department: PEIMS
Reports To: District PEIMS Director
FLSA Status: Exempt
*GENERAL PURPOSE:*
Under the general supervision of the district PEIMS director, the district PEIMS registrar is primarily responsible for ensuring that students are processed and verified before putting into the student information system (SIS).
The position is also expected to provide secretarial and administrative support to the district PEIMS administrator, specifically, and the administrative office, in general.
Duties are administrative in nature and include, but are not limited to, receiving and responding to inquiries and requests, handling incoming and/or outgoing communications, and preparing documents.
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is a must and the ability to maintain confidentiality is mandatory.

Depending on the individual assignment, the district PEIMS operator may perform all or a combination of the following:
Comply with all charter system policies and procedures, internal controls, board policies, and federal/state/local laws as they pertain to the charter system.
Act in an ethical and honest manner at all times.
Promptly report to the district administrator or superintendent any suspected violations of the Code of Ethics.
Manage the Enrollment system to approve new applications, new and returning registration packets and deliver information to the Student Information System.
Manage student records in PEIMS including demographic information, attendance, and state reporting fields.
Perform all enrollment procedures including requesting pertinent records from the student’s previous school.
Manage open enrollment for all new students.
Perform all withdrawal procedures.
Keep the District PEIMS Director informed of any changes in PEIMS requirements.
Have a working knowledge of, and implement, all FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws and requirements.
Along with district administrator, perform functions to ensure a smooth start and close of the school year
Assist with student discipline by processing documentation of incidents and discipline assessed.
Communicate with campus nurses to verify Immunizations
Assist parents, students, teachers, and administrative staff, as needed.
Participate in staff development training, staff meetings, and special events, as assigned.
Help PEIMS Director when Necessary with any duties that she may need assistance.
Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the district administrator.
*General Qualifications:*
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience working in a school setting, preferred
Experience working in a PEIMS Department, preferred
*Physical Demands / Work Environment:*
* Work is performed in a traditional office setting
* Must maintain control in stressful situations
* Frequent travel may be required
* Extended hours may be required
* Long periods of sitting in front of a computer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $42,000.
