The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems.
The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state.

If you are looking for a place to work where you can establish a career that is filled with purpose, this is the job for you! The Campus Administrator serves as the after-hours on-duty professional oversight staff.
This position will work (three) 12-hour shifts and (one) 4- hour shift.
The Campus Administrator is responsible for continuously monitoring the homes and grounds; watching for unusual occurrences and addressing emergencies and incidents immediately upon discovery.
Documents nightly issues, concerns, and incidents for administrative review.
Serves as the contact person for abuse/neglect allegations and as the first responding professional staff on the scene of a critical incident.
Initiates Preliminary Unusual Incident Reports and other investigations.
Evaluates incidents and makes recommendations for changes and/or improvement to the team and to administration.
Completes special audits and trending projects to ensure ongoing service delivery and the health and safety of the people served.
Works closely with administrative/supervisory staff to coordinate and monitor service delivery.
Works under limited supervision with the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Reports directly to the Incident Manager.
Within 6 months of hire, must complete Fundamentals of Investigations training course.
This position may require non-traditional work hours such as overnights, 10-hour shifts, and/or 12-hour shifts.
Essential Job Functions: Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
May serve in an on-call status on a rotating schedule as required to meet operational needs of the facility.
Completes routine, ongoing monitoring of homes and grounds; addressing unusual occurrences, emergencies, and incidents immediately upon discovery.
Documents and reports findings.
Serves as contact person for abuse/neglect allegations, and serious incidents and responds immediately to ensure the safety and health of individuals.
Serve as the liaison with the Health and Human Services Commission – Provider Investigations division.
Serves as first responding professional staff on the scene of a critical incident providing direction and guidance to staff and making sound decisions to deescalate the incident Coordinates and/or assists with unusual incidents including preliminary investigations to ensure compliance with appropriate rules and standards.
Serves as a member of the Incident Management Team, providing recommendations for issue resolution.
Conducts special audits and monitoring as scheduled or requested to ensure on-going service delivery and the health and safety of individuals served.
Follows up with Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Impairments (ICF/IID) issues and implementation of plans of correction.
Provides input into the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QAQI) to improve facility operations and services.
Instructs, trains, and provides in-service to facility staff on approved policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Investigates and analyzes trends and assists in resolving technical problems and recommending activities to produce improved programs and operations.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
Knowledge Skills Abilities: Knowledge, or ability to gain knowledge, of ICF/IID standards.
Knowledge, or ability to gain knowledge, of the facility Operating Procedures Manual (OPM).
Knowledge, or ability to gain knowledge, of Physical and Nutritional Management Plans (PNMP), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), Ukeru and Safe Use of Restraints (SUR) techniques.
Ability to communicate with others orally and in writing.
Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers.
Ability to use good judgment in dealing with unusual incidents.
Ability to train staff in job-related subject areas.
Ability to perform SUR and Ukeru once trained.
Physical ability to perform direct contact duties and to complete regular rounds over a wide area.
Registration or Licensure Requirements: None Initial Selection Criteria: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to the assignment; and Two (2) years of experience in the field of work related to the duties of the position, some of which involves supervising others or supervising projects; and Experience dealing with unusual incidents in an ICF-IID setting or other residential setting is preferred.
OR High school diploma or equivalent; and Six (6) years of experience in the field of work related to the duties of the position, some of which involves supervising others or supervising projects; and Experience dealing with unusual incidents in an ICF-IID setting or other residential setting is preferred.
Additional Information: Applicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct and HHS OIG List of Excluded Individuals/ Entities.
Males between the ages of 18 – 25 must be registered with the Selective Service.
All State Supported Living Center Employees are subject to Random Drug Testing.
Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position.
The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours.
Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
